The program consists of 30 heavy duty 6" x 9" task cards divided evenly into six sections: 1. Compound Words 2. Words with Two Consonants 3. Words With One Consonant between Two Vowels 4. Words With Prefixes 5. Words With Suffixes 6. Words With Three or More Syllables. Each section provides an introduction and reinforcement of rules for dividing words into parts or syllables. The sequential pattern encourages students to make further application of each rule. Also included in the program is an introduction, a guide, an answer booklet, printable student progress chart on CD-ROM, and two write-on/wipe-off card pockets. Grades 3 and higher. Standards Mastered: • Decode multi-syllabic words • Demonstrate and reinforce ability to divide such words into syllables • Display and reinforce ability to complete words by selecting appropriate syllables • Display ability to follow directions.
